WOLVES HEADLINERS

DARREN HAYDAR: Leads the AHL with a career-high 116 points entering the regular season's final week, 21 points more than the next-closest player ... Named to the AHL First All-Star Team last Thursday ... Collected a point in 61 of his 70 outings this season, which includes 34 with two or more ... Recorded a goal and three assists in Friday's win, the sixth time this season he has netted a season-high four points ... Leads the league with a career-high 77 assists and ranks fourth with a career-most 39 goals

JASON KROG: Registered at least one point in 39 of his 41 outings with the Wolves this season, which includes racking up 23 points (7G, 16A) in 16 games since his return from the NHL ... Ranks fifth in the AHL with a career-most 49 assists and 10th with a career-high 75 points despite playing in just 41 contests

BRETT STERLING: Named to the AHL First All-Star Team and the AHL All-Rookie Team last week ... Leads the league with 52 goals, which is tied for the fifth-highest total in franchise history ... Paces AHL rookies and ranks fourth overall with 93 points in 74 outings ... Leads the league with 21 power-play markers

MARK POPOVIC: Registered points in three straight games and seven (3G, 4A) over his last six ... Netted his 16th goal of the season on Saturday, a career-best and tied for the most by an AHL defenseman this season ... Recorded a career-high 40 points this season, sixth-most on the squad and tied for seventh among league blueliners

NATHAN OYSTRICK: Recorded three points (G, 2A) in his last two outings after being held to three points (G, 2A) in his previous 14 ... Selected to the AHL Second All-Star Team and the AHL All-Rookie Team last week ... Ranks third among AHL defensemen with 47 points, which is two shy of matching a franchise record by a rookie blueliner

CORY LAROSE: Potted his 20th goal of the season on Saturday, the third time in his seven-year pro career he has reached that plateau ... Ranks fourth in the AHL with 59 assists - the most by a center in team history - and sixth with 79 points, both career highs

WOLF TRACKS
-- With three games remaining in the regular season, the Wolves are three points shy of reaching the 100-point mark for the fifth time in franchise history.
-- DARREN HAYDAR and BRETT STERLING were named to the AHL First All-Star Team last week, marking just the second time two Wolves players garnered league First Team honors in the club's 13-year existence.
-- Chicago has recorded five goals in each of its last two games and in 32 of its 77 games overall this season (31-0-1-0); the squad leads the AHL with a franchise record 320 goals, 25 more than the next-closest team (Hershey, 295).
-- Defensemen ANDY DELMORE and MARK POPOVIC have both posted 16 goals this season, tied for the AHL-lead among defensemen while NATHAN OYSTRICK is tied for fourth with 15 markers; prior to this season a Wolves blueliner had never potted more than 15 goals.
-- The Wolves will attempt to match an AHL and franchise record when they go for their 27th road win of the season (26-9-2-2) in Milwaukee on Friday.
    

THE WEST WING
Chicago (97 points) has clinched home ice for the first round of the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs and trail Omaha (98) by one point in the race for the West Division title.  The squads will face off in the regular-season finale at the Allstate Arena on Sunday.  The Wolves have posted a 6-3-0-0 record against Omaha this season.   


FAN-DEMONIUM

The Chicago Wolves will host their annual Fan Appreciation Weekend when they close out their regular-season slate at the Allstate Arena on Sat., April 14, at 7 p.m. and Sun., April 15, at 5 p.m.  Every fan who enters the arena will receive a scratch-and-win card, which guarantees a prize, including the grand prize of a trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, courtesy of FunJet Vacations.

-- Chicago potted a pair of goals in both the first and second periods en route to a 5-3 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Allstate Arena
-- Five different Wolves posted markers, with defenseman MARK POPOVIC's second-period power-play goal holding up to be the game winner
-- Goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT posted 25 saves
 
Fri., April 6                                         
Chicago 5, (at) Milwaukee 4
-- The Wolves watched a 4-0 second-period lead disappear before defenseman NATHAN OYSTRICK netted a power-play goal with 5:05 remaining in regulation to give the squad a 5-4 victory over the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center
-- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR figured in on four of the team's five goals, collecting one goal and three assists
-- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 30 saves
