Wolves Recall Corbeil

The Chicago Wolves have recalled goaltender Mathieu Corbeil from the Central Hockey League’s Missouri Mavericks.

CORBEIL stopped 48 of 49 shots Friday night in backstopping Missouri to a3-1 win over Rapid City. He has appeared in 10 CHL contests with the Mavericks during his rookie year this season, recording a 4-6-0 mark with a 2.61 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. 

The 21-year-old netminder led the QMJHL with a career-high 37 victories and a 2.38 goals-against average, while sharing fourth in the league with a .911 save percentage in 48 outings with the Saint John Sea Dogs last season. He posted a 37-10-1 record and also ranked first in the QMJHL with six shutouts.

The Wolves close a three-game homestand at 7 p.m. tonight when they host the Houston Aeros at the Allstate Arena.
