Oct. 6, 2001 – The Wolves debut in the American Hockey League with a 4-2 victory against the Utah Grizzlies at the Allstate Arena.
Oct. 14, 1994 – A sell-out crowd of 16,623 celebrates the Wolves first home game and a 4-2 victory against the Detroit Vipers; the event begins with the emotional return of Wayne Messmer, who sings the National Anthem publicly for the first time since being shot in a robbery attempt on April 9, 1994.
